Campaign reports

Every campaign that has gone out shows a Report on its page in Marketing → Campaigns. It tells you what happened to the messages and which orders came from them.

What the numbers mean

NumberWhat it counts
DeliveredMessages the customer's mail server accepted.
BouncedAddresses that don't exist. Iraca stops emailing them, for every business.
Marked as spamPeople who reported the email as spam. Iraca stops your emails to them.
Clicked a linkPeople who opened at least one link in the email.
UnsubscribedPeople who left your list after getting this campaign.

Each is also shown as a share of the messages sent.

A few things to know:

  • Clicks: links in your campaigns pass through Iraca on their way to your page, which is how a click is counted. The customer lands on exactly the page you linked to. Some company mail systems open every link to check it, so a click now and then comes from a scanner rather than a person.
  • Unsubscribes: the unsubscribe link belongs to the customer, not to one campaign, so an unsubscribe is counted on the last campaign they received in the 30 days before.
  • Opens aren't a result. Iraca records them, and the report shows the number in small print, but many mail apps (Apple Mail in particular) open every message on their own. An open rate would look good and mean little, so it isn't shown beside the other numbers.

Orders from a campaign

The report shows the orders and revenue that came from the campaign. An order counts when:

  1. the customer received this campaign (a bounced message doesn't count),
  2. they placed the order after receiving it and within the campaign's attribution window (7 days unless set otherwise),
  3. this was the last campaign they received before ordering, and
  4. the order came in by hand, through your customer portal, your register (POS), or your Iraca Marketplace store.

Revenue is goods only: no tax, delivery fees or service charges, the same as lifetime spend in segments.

If a customer got two of your campaigns and then ordered, the order goes to the newer one, as long as it was still inside that campaign's window. The older campaign's report says how many orders went to a later campaign, so nothing is counted twice.

Marketplace and online-store orders are never counted

Orders from Amazon, Walmart, Etsy, TikTok Shop, Shopify or WooCommerce are left out, however soon after the email they arrive. Nothing connects those sales to your email: the customer may have found you there anyway. Counting them would make the report look better than it is.

The report still tells you about them: "Not counted: 3 orders ($120.00) from these customers on marketplaces or your online store." That way you can see what happened without the email taking credit for it.

If most of your sales come from those channels, the report says so at the top of the orders section. Your campaign may be working even when the number of counted orders is small.

Who can see reports

Everyone on your team can see campaign reports.

This guide covers the Iraca app and its add-ons. The Iraca Marketplace is documented separately.
