Printing a Stock Report
The stock report is a printable list of what a set of products has on hand. Search or filter your products first, and the report covers exactly the products the list is showing.
Printing one
- Go to Inventory → Products.
- Search, or pick filters (type, bundles, "No cost recorded", "Used in a recipe"). The sort you choose is kept too.
- Click Print stock report. The report opens on its own page.
- Click Print. To keep a copy as a file, choose Save as PDF in your browser's print dialog.
The report includes every product that matches, not just the page of the list you were on. With no search or filter, it covers all your products (supplies aren't included, same as the list).
What's on it
The header gives your business name, the warehouse, the search and filters used, when the report was made, and how many products are in stock, low, or out of stock.
Each product has one row with these columns:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| SKU, Name, Category, Unit | The product, and the unit its stock is counted in |
| One column per warehouse | What's on hand in each warehouse. Only shown when you have more than one warehouse, and quarantine warehouses are labelled |
| On hand | The total across warehouses, or in the warehouse you picked |
| Reorder at | The reorder point. A product with no reorder point set uses 5 |
| Status | In stock, Low (on hand at or below the reorder point) or Out of stock, the same rule as the stock badge on the products list |
Just one warehouse
If you have more than one warehouse, a warehouse list appears next to the Print button. Pick a warehouse and the report shows only that warehouse's stock. On hand, the reorder point and the status are then that warehouse's own.
Opening it in Excel
Click Download for Excel to save the same rows as a spreadsheet file (CSV). Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers open it directly, with accented names kept intact. The download needs the same permission as Export CSV on the products list.
The download is not the same file as Export CSV. Export CSV is your catalog (costs, dimensions, recipes) in the format the product import reads back. The stock report download holds stock quantities only.
What it doesn't show
The stock report counts units, not money. To see what your stock is worth at cost, use the Inventory Valuation report under Reports.
