Bulk Edit: Stock, Reorder Points, Prices and Sync
When the same small change has to be made to a lot of products, opening each one is slow. Bulk Edit puts your products in one grid so you can count stock, adjust reorder points and prices, and switch stock sync on or off for each sales channel, all from one screen.
Open it from Inventory → Products → Bulk edit.
Counting a whole warehouse? Bulk edit sets each figure to the number you type, which suits a quick correction. For a full stocktake, with count sheets, several people counting while orders keep shipping and the differences reviewed as money before they're applied, use Count stock at the top of this page. See Counting your stock with Iris.
Who can use it
Everyone on your team can look at the grid. Only workspace owners and admins can save changes; for anyone else the cells are read-only.
Pick a warehouse first
The grid works on one warehouse at a time. Choose it at the top left. It sets which warehouse the Stock and Reorder point columns describe. Price belongs to the product itself, so it is the same whichever warehouse you are looking at.
If you have typed changes and switch warehouse, Iraca asks before throwing them away, because a stock count only makes sense for the warehouse it was typed against. Quarantine warehouses are not offered: stock in quarantine is released, not counted.
What you can change
| Column | What it does |
|---|---|
| Stock | Sets the on-hand quantity in this warehouse to the number you type. It is a count, not "add 10": type what is on the shelf. |
| Reorder point | The level at which this product shows up as low on stock in this warehouse. |
| Price | The product's selling price in Iraca. |
Edits are not saved as you type. A changed cell is highlighted, a bar at the top counts your unsaved changes, and nothing happens until you press Save changes. Use the arrow on a row to undo just that row, or Discard all to start over. Your edits are kept while you search, filter or move between pages.
A cell that is not a valid number turns red and stops you saving until it is fixed. Stock must be 0 or more and can have up to four decimal places (12.5 lb of an ingredient), with a dot as the decimal mark. Reorder point and price can have decimals too.
Every stock change is a real stock movement
Setting a count here does exactly what Adjust stock on a product does. It writes a movement in the product's history, updates the ledger where stock has a cost, and sends the new quantity to your sales channels. If you type the number that is already there, nothing is recorded.
Lot-tracked products
Raw ingredients and finished goods that track lots are counted the same way as any other product. They carry a small Lots tag.
- Counting down takes the units from the lot that expires first, then the next, the same as the stock dialog. If the lots on record can't cover the drop, that row is refused and says why; the rest still save.
- Counting up shows two extra fields under the count: Lot # and Expiry. The added units are received into that lot (a new lot is created if the number is new), so the stock stays traceable. The lot number is required: sales and production take a lot-tracked product's stock from its lots, so units added without one could never be used. If your business doesn't keep lot numbers, turn lot tracking off for the product instead.
Stock you cannot edit here
Only kits made of components show a padlock. A kit's stock comes from the components it is made of, so a number typed against it would be ignored by the very next sale. Count the components instead. Its reorder point and price can still be edited.
Stock sync by channel
Each connected sales channel gets its own column. A switch means "send this product's stock to that channel."
- A dash means the product is not listed on that channel.
- A Paused tag means the listing itself is switched off.
- A Push off tag on the column means stock pushing is switched off for the whole connection, so its switches have no effect until you turn it on in Integrations.
- All on / All off under a channel's name applies to every listing on the page you are looking at.
Sync switches take effect immediately. They are settings, not counts, so they do not wait for Save changes.
Two listings of one product
When one product has two listings on the same channel, each listing gets its own switch, labelled with its channel SKU. Only one of them can send stock at a time, so that the same units are not advertised twice. Turning one on turns the other off, and the grid shows the result.
Finding the products you want
Search by name, SKU or barcode, and narrow the list with the filters at the top:
- Type: raw ingredients, finished goods, supplies, or both.
- Bundles: bundles only, or everything that isn't a bundle.
- Category, and Low stock only.
The filters combine, and Clear filters resets them. Once you pick a channel you can also filter to products that are synced, listed but not synced, or not on that channel, which is the quickest way to find products that are missing from a marketplace. Filtering is done on the server, so it covers your whole catalog, not just the page in front of you.
Inactive products are hidden unless you tick Include inactive.
Importing a stock count from a list
If your counts are in a spreadsheet, use Import stock instead of typing them in.
- Click Import stock
- Paste your list, or upload a CSV. You need two columns: the SKU and the quantity. A header row is optional. Commas, semicolons and tabs all work, so you can copy straight from a spreadsheet.
- For lot-tracked products, add a lot and, if you have it, an expiry column. With a header row, name them Lot and Expiry. Without one, they're the third and fourth columns. Dates can be written
2027-03-31or3/31/2027. A note in brackets after a header is fine, so Expiry (year-month-day) still counts as the expiry column. If your file has a column Iraca doesn't use, the review names it, so you can rename it before applying. - (Optional) Fill in Lot for rows without one. A lot-tracked product whose count goes up and whose row has no lot gets this lot with its SKU added:
OPENING-2026-10becomesOPENING-2026-10-HIB-01. The SKU is added because a lot number belongs to one product only. - Click Review
SKU,Quantity,Lot,Expiry
HIB-01,55.1,L-2410,2027-03-31
JAR-8OZ,400Iraca then shows every line and what would happen, before anything changes:
| Result | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Will change | The SKU was found and the quantity is different. |
| No change | The count already matches. |
| No SKU on this line | The line has a quantity but no SKU. |
| Quantity must be 0 or more, with up to four decimal places | For example 1.23456, -3, or 1,000 (use a dot for decimals and no thousands separator). |
| No product has this SKU | Check for a typo, or that the product exists. |
| This SKU appears more than once | Only the first line is used. Remove the others. |
| Kit | A kit's stock comes from its components. |
| Lot-tracked: add a lot number or a default lot | The count goes up on a lot-tracked product and the row has no lot. Add one in the file, or fill in Lot for rows without one. |
| Expiry date not understood, or not after today | Use 2027-03-31 or 3/31/2027, and a date in the future. |
| This lot number already belongs to another product | Each lot number is used for one product only. Choose another. The same applies when two rows in the file give one lot to two products. |
SKUs are matched ignoring upper and lower case. Fix the lines with problems in your file and review again, or apply the good ones and deal with the rest separately. The review shows the lot each lot-tracked count will go into. A count that goes down needs no lot: it takes from the lots on file, first to expire first. Then click Apply to set the counts in the warehouse you chose. You can import up to 2,000 lines at a time.
On a phone or tablet
On a narrow screen the table becomes one card per product, with the same fields, sync switches and Undo. Sorting moves into a Sort by control, and each channel's All on and All off sit in a bar above the cards.
Good to know
- Prices are not pushed to your sales channels. The Price column edits the price in Iraca. There is no price-sync switch because Iraca does not send prices to marketplaces today.
- The stock sent to a channel adds up all your warehouses (not just the one you are viewing), and orders from a marketplace are taken from your default warehouse. If you keep stock in more than one warehouse, keep that in mind when counting.
- Your activity feed shows one entry per save, not one per product.
