Talk to Iraca
Talk to Iraca lets you ask your own AI assistant about your business, in plain words: what sold best last month?, what's running low?, who owes me money? The assistant looks the answers up in Iraca and tells you. It can read your data; it can't change anything.
Finding Talk to Iraca
Talk to Iraca always lives in Settings → Talk to Iraca.
To try the same questions inside Iraca first, on any plan, press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) and ask Iris. See Ask Iris.
If your business doesn't have it yet, owners also see a card on the Dashboard, Ask your AI assistant about your business, with a link to start the free trial. The card only shows to owners (they're the ones who can start the trial), once your business has at least one product (with nothing in Iraca yet, there's nothing to ask about), and only if your business hasn't tried Talk to Iraca before.
The setup assistant introduces Talk to Iraca to every new business, and once your products are in it offers the owner the free trial right after the review step.
To hide the card, click the × in its corner. It stays hidden for you on that business; other owners keep seeing it until they hide it too. Hiding it doesn't change anything else: Talk to Iraca is still in Settings → Talk to Iraca whenever you want it.
Trying it with Iris
Not sure yet? Iris can walk you through it in three short steps. Click Try Talk to Iraca with Iris at the top of Settings → Talk to Iraca, or follow the Talk to Iraca link under an answer in Ask Iris. It's also on the I want to… page while Talk to Iraca is on sale.
- Ask your business. Three questions to start with: what needs my attention?, how much did I sell in the last 30 days? and who owes me money? Tap Ask and Iris answers right there, from your own data, with the same read-only lookups your assistant will use. You only see the questions your role can answer (sales need access to reports; money owed needs Invoicing).
- Start the free trial. An owner taps Start the 14-day free trial; no card is needed. Nothing starts until that tap. Admins and members see that an owner can start it, and can still go on to see how connecting works. If your business has no products yet, Iris asks you to add one first: there's nothing to ask about until then. If your business has already used its trial, you'll see Subscribe instead, which opens the Billing page.
- Connect your assistant. The same steps as Connecting your assistant below, for Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code, and the list of questions to ask. Once you've approved the connection in your browser, come back and Iris shows it as connected.
Finishing only marks the guide done, and starting over removes nothing: a trial you started and assistants you connected stay as they are. Each person connects their own assistant, so anyone on the team can go through the guide; an owner or admin marks it done.
Price and free trial
Talk to Iraca is an add-on that works on every Iraca plan, Free included.
- Free for 14 days, no card needed. An owner starts the trial in Settings → Talk to Iraca. Each business gets one trial.
- Then $9 a month ($90 a year). There's no charge per question.
While the trial runs, Settings → Talk to Iraca shows how many days are left and how many questions your assistants have answered. Iraca emails your business's owners three days before the trial ends and again on the day it ends.
To keep it, an owner clicks Subscribe (in Settings → Talk to Iraca or on the Billing page) and adds a card. If you subscribe during the trial, you keep the rest of it: the first charge is on the day the trial would have ended.
If the trial ends without a subscription, your assistant tells you that Talk to Iraca isn't active, with a link to subscribe. Your connections are kept, so once an owner subscribes they work again with nothing to reconnect.
Connecting your assistant
Anyone on your team can connect their own assistant: owners, admins and members. Your connection sees exactly what you can see in Iraca, nothing more, so a member's assistant can't read the profit and loss statement, for example.
You add Iraca to your assistant with its server address, then sign in to Iraca and approve. There's no key to copy. Find the server address at the top of Settings → Talk to Iraca, with a Copy button. (Members: open Account from your profile menu and click Set up Talk to Iraca.)
Claude (web, desktop app and phone)
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Iraca and paste the server address. Click Add, then Connect.
- A page from Iraca opens. Sign in with the code we email you, choose the business, read what will be shared, and click Allow Claude.
You're sent back to Claude, and Iraca shows as connected. Claude's free plan can add one custom connector; paid plans can add more. On Team and Enterprise plans, an organization owner adds it first.
ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Plugins (or Settings → Apps) and choose Add → Create custom MCP server. If you don't see it, turn on Developer mode first (Settings → Apps → Advanced settings).
- Name it Iraca, paste the server address and choose OAuth as the sign-in method.
- Sign in to Iraca, choose the business and allow ChatGPT.
OpenAI's help center lists custom MCP servers for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, added by an admin or owner (or a member they allow). This changes often; if the option isn't there on your plan, use Claude instead.
Claude Code
Run this in a terminal (Iraca shows it with your server address filled in):
claude mcp add --transport http iraca <server address>Then start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose Iraca and pick Authenticate. Your browser opens the Iraca sign-in page.
The page that asks you to approve
Before anything is connected, Iraca shows you which assistant is asking, who you're signed in as, which business it will read, what it will be able to see, and whether customer contact details are shared. Nothing is connected until you click Allow. If you're on more than one business, you choose which one here; connect again to add another.
If the page warns that the answer goes to a program on this computer, that's normal for Claude Code. Only continue if you started the connection yourself just now.
Once you approve, the connection appears in Your connections. It stays connected: you won't be asked to sign in again unless the connection is revoked or goes unused for 30 days.
What to ask
Settings → Talk to Iraca has a list of questions to start with, grouped by sales, orders, stock, money owed and how the business is doing, each with a Copy button. You only see the questions your connection can answer: someone without access to sales reports, for example, won't see the sales questions.
You don't have to stick to the list. Ask follow-ups, compare periods, or ask for the answer as a table.
What your assistant can and can't see
Your assistant can look up:
- a summary of the business (sales this month, orders, stock health, production)
- what needs your attention, from the Needs your attention list
- orders, and the details of one order
- products, their prices and whether they're in stock
- what's running low and what to reorder from which supplier
- with access to reports: sales over a period, your best customers and products, and the value of your inventory
- with Invoicing: who owes you money and how late, and who is past due or over their credit limit
- owners with Books & Financial Reports: the profit and loss statement
It can't:
- create, change or delete anything: no orders, no stock adjustments, no invoices
- see what you can't see in Iraca yourself
- see order notes, product descriptions or other long text
- see customer and supplier emails, phone numbers or addresses, unless an owner or admin turns that on (below)
- see files, labels, PDFs, passwords or keys
What your assistant reads is sent to the company that runs it (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT) and handled under that company's terms, not Iraca's. The approval page says so before you connect.
Customer and supplier contact details
Your assistant always sees customer and supplier names; without them, who owes me money? can't be answered. Their emails, phone numbers and addresses are off by default.
An owner or admin can turn them on under Customer and supplier contact details. When it's on, those details can appear in answers, which means they're sent to the AI provider of whoever is asking, under that provider's terms. Leave it off unless you need it.
Be careful what you connect it alongside
Talk to Iraca is read-only, but read-only doesn't mean risk-free. Some of the text in your data is written by other people: customer names, marketplace buyer names, product names from a supplier. Someone could write a name that tries to give your assistant instructions. Iraca tells your assistant that this text is data, never instructions, but Iraca doesn't control your assistant.
This matters most if your assistant also has tools that can act for you, such as sending email, posting messages or uploading files. So:
- connect Iraca to an assistant you trust,
- be careful about connecting it alongside tools that can send email or post on your behalf,
- and read what your assistant proposes to do before you let it.
Seeing what was asked
Recent activity lists the last 50 lookups: which kind of lookup ran (for example Low stock), whether it was answered, when, and on which connection. Owners and admins see everyone's; members see their own.
What was actually asked isn't stored, and neither are the answers. The "questions answered" count on the trial counts these lookups, since Iraca can't see where one conversation ends and the next begins.
Revoking a connection
Click Revoke next to a connection. The assistant using it loses access on its very next question. Members can revoke their own connections; owners and admins can revoke anyone's. Each connection says how it was made: Connected from Claude (or whichever assistant) for one-click connections, Pasted key for the advanced kind below.
When someone leaves your team, their connections stop working right away and show No longer on the team. Revoke them to tidy up.
If your assistant can't connect
- It asks you to sign in again. The connection was revoked, the person was removed from the business, or it went unused for 30 days. Sign in and approve again.
- The approval page says Talk to Iraca isn't active for the business. An owner needs to start the trial or subscribe in Settings → Talk to Iraca.
- "You already have 10 connections for this business." Revoke one you no longer use, then connect again.
- The approval page says the request has expired. You have 15 minutes to approve. Start again from your assistant.
Advanced: connecting with a pasted key
Some tools take a key instead of signing in, such as Cursor or your own scripts. For those:
- Under Your connections, open Create a key to paste (advanced), give the key a name, like Cursor on my laptop, and click Create key.
- Copy the key now. It's shown only once. Treat it like a password.
- Open Advanced: connect with a pasted key in the Connect your assistant card. It shows a Claude Code command and a Cursor
mcp.jsonentry with your key filled in.
A pasted key works exactly like a one-click connection: same access, same limits, revoked the same way. If a tool with a pasted key says it isn't authorized or offers to sign you in, the key was revoked or pasted incompletely; create a new one.
Your assistant answers in your language; Iraca's messages are in English
Iraca's own messages to your assistant, including its error messages, are always in English, whatever language you use Iraca in. Your assistant still answers you in your language. So if you ask in Spanish and something goes wrong, you may see an English error inside a Spanish answer; that's expected. The one exception is the message your assistant shows when Talk to Iraca isn't active, which is written in both English and Spanish.
Limits
To stop a runaway assistant, each connection can make about 60 lookups a minute, and a business about 120. One question usually takes a handful of lookups, so you won't reach this asking normally. If you do, your assistant is told to wait a moment.
