Composite Products and Bundles

Bundles let you sell a combination of finished goods as a single product — for example, a "Gift Set" made up of three individual hot sauces. Iraca tracks exactly what goes into each bundle so that inventory and fulfillment stay accurate.

Bundle types

Kit — components are not pre-assembled. When you fulfill an order containing a kit, Iraca deducts stock from each component individually. On the pick list and in the fulfillment screen, the components appear as separate pick lines grouped under the bundle name.

Pre-packaged — the bundle is built ahead of time and stored as its own unit. Stock is deducted from the bundle SKU directly, not from the components. Use this when you box or shrink-wrap a set before it is ever sold.

Creating a bundle

  1. Open Inventory → Products and create a new product (or open an existing one).
  2. In the product form, enable the Bundle toggle.
  3. Select the bundle type: Kit or Pre-packaged.
  4. Save the product.
  5. On the product detail page, scroll to the Bundle Components card and click Add Component.
  6. Search for a finished-goods product, enter the quantity needed per bundle, and click the result to add it.
  7. Repeat for each component. You can edit quantities inline or remove components at any time.

Components must be non-bundle products. Nested bundles (a bundle inside a bundle) are not supported.

How bundles appear on pick lists

When you generate a pick list, the Expand products for fulfillment toggle controls how kit bundles appear:

  • On (default): each component becomes its own pick line, grouped under the bundle name. Staff see exactly what to pull from the shelf.
  • Off: the bundle SKU appears as a single line. Use this when you have pre-assembled kits in stock.

The toggle defaults to your account-wide setting in Settings → Orders → Expand products for fulfillment (default). You can override it each time you generate a pick list.

Pre-packaged bundles always appear as a single line regardless of this setting, because stock is deducted from the bundle itself.

Fulfillment

During fulfillment, kit component lines are displayed under a labeled group header so staff can clearly see which items belong to the same bundle. Each line is marked picked individually.

If a kit order is fulfilled and a component does not have enough stock to cover the order, Iraca will alert the users responsible for fulfillment and block the fulfillment until the shortfall is resolved.

Marketplace sync

A bundle can be mapped to a marketplace SKU (Amazon, Walmart, etc.) just like any other product. When an order comes in for that marketplace SKU, Iraca treats it as an order for the bundle and handles pick list expansion and fulfillment accordingly.

This guide covers the Iraca app and its add-ons. The Iraca Marketplace is documented separately.
