Payments and Stripe
Card payments in Iraca run through Stripe. You connect your business to Stripe once, in Settings → Payments, and everything that takes a card uses that same account.
You'll find the Payments card near the top of the Settings page. Only owners and admins can use it.
What uses your Stripe account
- Customer portal checkout. Customers who pay by card at your portal, including people who create their own account.
- Menus. Orders and deposits that customers pay by card.
- Marketplace sales. Sales you make as a vendor on an Iraca marketplace that lets buyers pay on the listing.
The card lists the ones that apply to your business. You don't connect Stripe separately for each; there is one account.
Connecting Stripe
- Open Settings and find Payments.
- Select Connect Stripe and follow Stripe's steps. Stripe asks for your business and bank details.
- When you come back, the card shows Connected. If it shows Setup not finished, select Finish Stripe setup to pick up where you left off.
The card has four states:
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not connected | You haven't started yet. |
| Setup not finished | Stripe needs a few more details before it can take card payments. |
| Connected | Stripe is ready and can take card payments. |
| Reconnect needed | Your account was set up before direct payments. Select Reconnect Stripe so card payments go straight to your own Stripe account. |
Reconnecting creates a new Stripe account link; nothing is deleted on Stripe. It is refused while card payments on the current account are still waiting to be paid out or refunded. Wait until they settle, then try again.
What it costs
The card shows your plan's rate, for example 3.4% + 30¢ per payment on Standard. On a standard US card that is Stripe's own fee (2.9% + 30¢) plus Iraca's share for your plan. Stripe bills its part to your Stripe account, so international and corporate cards can cost more than the rate shown; Iraca's share stays the same.
Marketplace sales also carry the marketplace commission. See Selling on an Iraca marketplace.
Your Stripe dashboard
Once Stripe has your details, Open Stripe dashboard takes you into Stripe to see payouts, disputes and your bank details. It opens in a new tab and the link works once.
Where else you'll see it
- Settings → B2B & Wholesale has the Let customers create their own account switch. It stays off until Stripe is ready, and links here when it isn't.
- Settings → Marketplaces shows a Connect with Stripe button for vendors; it brings you to this card.
