Bring Your Own Carrier Accounts
Most workspaces ship on Iraca's built-in rates. But if you've negotiated your own rates with UPS, FedEx, or USPS — or you already run your own EasyPost account — you can connect those accounts and ship on them directly. When you do, Iraca adds no markup; your own carrier rates are covered by your subscription.
You manage carrier accounts in Shipping → Settings → Your Carrier Accounts.
What you can connect
- Your own EasyPost account — paste your EasyPost API key. Labels you buy this way are billed to your EasyPost account, not to Iraca.
- UPS, FedEx, or USPS — link the carrier account by its account number (and any details the carrier requires). Iraca registers it for you so your negotiated rates show up at checkout.
- Other — store credentials for a carrier not listed above.
Adding an account
- Open Shipping → Settings and find Your Carrier Accounts.
- Choose Add Account.
- Give it a name you'll recognize (for example, "My UPS account").
- Pick the account type. The fields below change to match what that carrier needs.
- Enter your credentials and choose Add Account.
For UPS, FedEx, and USPS, Iraca links the account to its shipping network behind the scenes so your rates are ready to use right away.
How your credentials are protected
Your carrier credentials are encrypted before they're saved, and Iraca never shows them back to you in full. After you save an account, you'll only ever see the last few characters — enough to tell which account it is, never the whole key or number. If you need to change a credential, remove the account and add it again.
Removing an account
Select the trash icon next to any account to remove it. For UPS, FedEx, and USPS, Iraca also unlinks it from its shipping network. Once removed, new labels go back to your workspace's default rates.
Buying labels on your own account
Once an account is connected, your rates show up automatically the next time you buy a label:
- When you fetch rates for an order, each option is tagged so you can tell your account rates apart from Iraca rates. Your own rates carry no markup — the price you see is your carrier's price.
- If you connected your own EasyPost account, every rate comes from that account and is billed there directly.
- If you linked a UPS, FedEx, or USPS account, your negotiated rates appear alongside Iraca's built-in rates, so you can compare and pick whichever is cheaper for each shipment.
- Labels bought on your own account are not charged to your shipping wallet or saved card, and they don't count against a wallet balance check. You ship on your account; we don't bill for them. Picking an Iraca rate still works exactly as before — markup applies and it's settled through your wallet or card.
When to use this
- You ship enough volume to have negotiated your own carrier rates.
- You already run an EasyPost account and want labels billed there.
- You'd rather your carrier bill you directly instead of paying Iraca's built-in rates.
If none of those apply, you don't need to do anything — every workspace ships on Iraca's discounted built-in rates with no setup.
