FDA Facility Registration
Food facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold food for consumption in the United States are required to register with the FDA under the Bioterrorism Act (21 U.S.C. § 350d). Registration must be renewed every other year during the October 1 – December 31 window.
Iraca provides a place to record your FDA facility registration number and renewal year so you always know where to find it and receive a renewal reminder on the dashboard.
Go to Settings → FDA Facility Registration. The page has two tabs: Getting Started and Your Registration.

This tab covers everything you need before you register:
About FDA Facility Registration — explains who must register, how registration works (free, online via the FDA's FURLS system), and what happens if you miss a renewal window.
What You'll Need — a checklist of the information the FDA registration form asks for:
- Legal business name
- Physical facility address (P.O. boxes not accepted)
- Mailing address (if different)
- U.S. Agent information (required for foreign facilities)
- Emergency 24/7 contact
- Owner / operator / agent legal details
- FDA food product categories (see 21 CFR Part 170)
- Applicable food safety regulations (e.g. 21 CFR Part 114 for acidified foods, Part 117 for FSMA Preventive Controls)
Tip: if you have multiple physical locations that manufacture or store food, each must be registered separately.

Recording your registration
Fill in your details and click Save:

| Last renewal year | The year you last renewed (or first registered) — used to calculate when your next renewal window opens |
| Notes | Optional — facility name, contact person, or any other details you want on file |
Renewal schedule reference
Below the form, a renewal schedule shows upcoming even-year windows with status badges:
- Now open — it is currently Q4 of an even year; renewal is active
- Next window — the next upcoming renewal window
- Passed — the window has closed
Renewal reminder
The FDA requires renewal during the Oct 1 – Dec 31 window every even-numbered year (2024, 2026, 2028, …). If your recorded renewal year is two or more years behind the current even year, a yellow warning banner appears at the top of the settings page and on the dashboard.
After you renew with the FDA, update the Last renewal year field here to dismiss the banner.

Iraca stores your registration details for reference — it does not submit anything to the FDA on your behalf and does not verify your registration number. Contact the FDA or your regulatory consultant for compliance advice.
